The car that started my love affair with BMW! I loved my dad's E36 but I'll never forget when he got is Oxford Green/Beige E34 and seeing that gleaming BMW logo on the steering wheel from the back seat, was hooked from that day Also why I love green on beige cars incidentally! Will definitely own an E34 M5 some day

One of my least favorite. I have had at least one of each generation 5 series. My only E34 was a 1989 535i/A. I'm not sure if it was because it was my first automatic BMW or if it was because it was a first year car but I rank it at the bottom of my list of 5's. My second to least favorite also happens to have been an automatic.

Still one of my all time favourite 5 series
I remember how hot the M5 touring of this shape was when it came out I believe it was called the shark due to the dark grey "underbelly" Man, I miss the good old BMWs Before we started popping out tens of variants of each shape, and catering to the Chinese market.

I'm still unsure as to why the M5 has been omitted from this video series so far (perhaps BMW is planning on releasing a separate video series on the M5) but here's the original promotional video on the E34 M5:
One really gets the sense that BMW Motorsport GmbH was proud of their racing heritage and work while having a philosophical commitment in delivering the finest craftsmanship, engineering, and quality to showcase said heritage. Of course, we know that the E34 M5 was the last M-model to be hand-built and BMW Motorsport GmbH would be renamed BMW M GmbH in 1993.

Beautiful official pics of the (Automatic) V8 540i in Royal Blue Metallic and Ghost Grey (I believe) during the launch of the new G30 in Portugal...
