It is a 911 after all, just a menacing looking one that will have a new Ring record. I do agree, they need to build a non-911 300-500K car...basically a normal production of a CGT/918 type car. |

The GT2RS is a race car that you "could" drive on the streets. I doubt many of us would actually see one on the roads so who cares if it looks "riced out"? If someone paid $300K+ for this thing, they probably want to stand out amongst other p-cars.

I would imagine a riced out 911 would look nothing like that.

Viper wasn't company sponsored, they literally only got 3 runs in with three different drivers. Budget was basically nothing, Porsche is throwing millions at this with tire warmers, crew, unlimited ring time, etc. Viper is also rwd manual

Gravitational forces due to a full moon, perhaps? Not enough sleep? How about the ever popular race suit being a little tight in the crotch?

There is a difference when you spend millions and run as many times as you want vs 3 times. Is the GT2RS fast, yes, it's insane, but I believe they didn't get what they could out of the Viper.

Agreed. I don't believe the ACR has yet to touch on the Nurburgring law of diminishing returns.
