Just got beat by a c55!!
ok, so me and my friend planned a race on a private road to his driveway. So we lined up and did a 10 mph roll. I honked 3 and we went. I pulled on him for a little bit and he kept catching up really fast. by 90 mph he was already 1/2 to 1 car length and thats about it. We just shut off after that. I didn't want to do from 0 because I really don't wanna launch my car. Its so bad to brake launch but it seems like I am going to next time. c55 and 335 are head to head 1/4 mile 13.3. But the c55 trap @ 108 and 335 trap at 106. So I guess retry

It does it when you use it on EVERYTHING in the car. Such as body panels

I said "almost"... CF can lighten a car which makes it quicker.... but the money is better spent on a piggy back if he wants to run with a C55, not on CF. How much can you spend on CF for the OP's car to be as fast as his friends C55? Surely changing the trunk to all CF one won't get him there.

I might consider getting a JB1 or JB2. I just want something that will give me the extra boost and better gas mileage. ON average how much better gas mileage do you get with a chip?

Before i got my 335xi coupe i owned a c55. It was an awesome car. 367 hp 376 tq. I always strugled to get a good launch without spinning. When i had it i raced a few 335's and took them by 1-3 lengths. I would think with just about any piggy back the c55 would be walked by 1-3 cars. At times i miss that car but the 335 is so perfect
heres a pic of what she looked like when i sold her. |

I really liked the older styling of the MBs.. now they try to squeeze in the look of the S class into all their vehicles and it's just blah now.
