Northeast winter storm

Heading this way! Fired up the snowblower last night in preparation. Got the bread and milk. Could be 1 to 2 feet of snow.

Weathermen are selling lots of snow shovels, TP, bread and milk. Really, they ought to get a commission!

No Eggs?! I figured with how everybody runs out and buys eggs, milk and bread before a storm, everybody must be home making French Toast during bad ones.

We had a little bit here today in NJ/PA boarder, so I've got my plow on my Jeep and gas for the blower, I am all set too.

good luck!

I apologize that we didn't wring more moisture out of this when it flew over Cali.

I think it is going to be a bust. At least for where I live outside of Boston.

Weathermen have so little to look forward to other than Hurricane and Winter IMO. This is the 1st NE snow storm so they are hyping it up. I am sure they are just itching to talk about 'Thunder Snow!!!"

No apology necessary here! I absolutely LOVE everything about Winter and snow (otherwise, I'd live someplace else).

I wasn't really that I was worried about you guys, but more that we need every freaking drop we can get.

You all have to break out your snow blowers, I have to break out the lawn mower. I got a GOOD spread of fertilizer before the series of storms hit.

A storm elsewhere is just a storm, but when it hits the Northeastern coast then everybody freaks out. I don't get it.

Love watching the local “Storm Force” coverage; invariably, shovels sell out first from the stores! So, no one previously had a shovel, or threw their old one out at the end of last winter, or is there a shovel fetish? I mean where are all these shovels going!?

And somehow everyone forgets how to drive in the snow.

Blizzard of ‘78 mentality. People stranded on highways for days, couldn’t get out of their homes. No one wants a repeat.

Yah I get it, but we've lost count of similar events. But, you don't see headlines when it is an upper Midwestern storm that MILLIONS are in danger.

I was always under the impression that they are a one season usage item. I also hear that some form of a fairy comes to collect them unbeknownst to the owner the first week spring and takes them to Lost Sock Mountain.

Maybe shovels are necessary to move around all the lost socks??

Meh, 1-2 feet sounds not bad. You probably won't get it though...they are probably just overhyping it. Sunday is supposed to dip to feel like negative 40C. Which ironically is also negative 40F too I believe.

Please tell me you are kidding? If you aren't, this is a really telling sign of this state's faith in their driver training / driver tests.

Nope, not kidding. I'm honestly OK with it. I run tractor trailers and it makes my life very easy when they declare a State of Emergency. I can halt operations and pull the trucks in. I'd rather be safe any day. I don't want trucks out there in snow and ice.

Also to clear the roads for snow plow operators.
