I recently came across this car built by the guys at EV West just north of San Diego.

The folks at EV West have taken a Tesla drivetrain and put it into an E36 M3 with spectacular results! See the video in the article.

Should be fun to watch this run at Pikes Peak this year!

The awesomeness I am seeing comes from the Tesla powertrain and the shop’s effort

the moment you realize there is no exhaust sound.. only burnout.. doesnt matter how much EV's will get fast there ll be something missing.. like eating potato without ketchup or any other sauce..

I just realized I've never seen an EV burnout. What a very strange phenomena. That's probably what stands out the most about this video.

I'd miss the growl of my S50 for sure. BUT had I bought it electric I'm sure I woulda loved the thing to death

For the love of humanity, why would you butcher an E36 M3 and make it into a trash tesla frankenstein? I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit when I saw this

This E36 is extremely beastly, and the lack of noise actually makes driving EVs more fun not less. Unless all you want to do is show off.
