First mother's day gift ideas

It would be my wife's first mothers day and I want to give her something special.
Any good ideas?

In the same scenario here; very excited, expecting our first baby.
What I plan on doing:

1. Already got her a beautiful card from lovepopcards.com
2. Breakfast in bed (the lazy kind)
3. Day out shopping at her favorite places
4. Visiting my folks (her mom is out of town)

I think it'll be a fun day for both of us, really. We're just enjoying the process.
- Leo.

I won't be able to get it in time for Mother's Day, but I'm thinking I'll use it as a birthday or Christmas present now.

But this is basically what I'm planning on:
https://www.mynamenecklacecanada.com...B&gclsrc=aw.ds

Figure I put my two sons names on there, one on each side, and their respective birth dates on the other two sides. Something like that.

All good stuff! But she's bit spoiled and standard stuff doesn't work well unfortunately. But this card is great stuff! Please continue to share your success stories!

Honestly - I traced my son's hand on one of her first cards as I recall. You'd be surprised at how sentimental they think that stuff is, because the hand is so tiny, and they'll keep it and that to remind them of a nicer time when your son is being a complete jerk to her.

If you want to take this to the next level, go to a hobby shop and buy some clay and press his hand into it. Punch a hole so you can hang it and write his name and birthday on it before baking it.

I will say this though - you are going to look at it and go "Wow, that looks sloppy / stupid (because of where you had to place it in the card) / etc".

But my wife liked it!

I'm sure she will! This idea has a very good sentimental touch to it.

The jaded person in me wants to respond with "Don't buy her anything you will regret after the divorce."

The frosted shredded mini-wheat side of me will say, "Black and white photo of your sons hand inside your hand."

...after that you cut a hole in the hand, stick your junk through and make her give you a sentimental touch

She's not your mother. Sounds cold but I have never given any of my wives mothers day presents. If you want to do something nice for her to show how you feel, make a big deal on your anniversary or on you babies first birthday.

Thats just me though.

Many years, in a sales position, three 20 something women came in to buy a broom.

They appeared to be fresh from happy hour as they were cutting up having a great time.

Upon completion of the sale I looked at the one that was the most vocal and asked if she wanted me to put it in a bag.... or would she be riding it home.

One of her girlfriends was laughing so hard she had lay down on the floor.
