I just got my SS street exhaust & x pipe in the mail and after jacking the car up Im not seeing how the front of the X pipe will connect up. Does anyone have any experience with this?

yes! I do
I believe that you have to remove the underbody chassis stiffeners, and some of the pannels if they are in the way, if it is hidden by panels that is. it should be two pipes your bolting to the front of the system. each should be held on by 3 bolts. If you can, try and save the gaskets. if you need anymore help, just let me know. |

let us know how it goes.. I have been considering the supersprint x pipe resonator delete, and want to reconnect it to my stock muffler/rear section. I dont know if this is possible without cutting any part of the OEM setup.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. |

Thanks Chicago but the problem isnt the bolt up its where the stock pipe & SS x pipe is suppose to connect, the SS x pipe is 2 1/2 inch thick pipe that is perfectly round where as this stock part that it connects to is right after the second cat or whatever that is in between the resonators and cats and its 3 1/2 inch oval pipe. I called SuperSprint and they said you have to cut the stock setup and slide the x pipe on and tighten it down but that is impossible with the difference in diameters and shape. What I dont get is 8 inches in front of that there is a connection point in the stock system, why SS didnt take the x pipe up to there and call it good, I dont know.
Is it possible that I have the wrong X pipe(it says e92 M3 on it) or the euro version? Im stuck, with out cutting out that second cat and fabricating that 8 inch piece I dont know how this is going to go together but SS says its bolt on, they also said they would cover any additional costs I have putting the system on. They have been very helpful. My dad is a mechanic and he is stuck too. Need Help fast because I have the Agency powers system on there now and its so loud its embarrassing. |

1) Axle or cat-back? 2) If it's a cat-back does it eliminate the 2 resonators? 3) Who makes the mufflers? 4) Exhaust tip sizes? 5) Any idea on cost? Is this your car? Thx!

I hope this might help you out. I got rid of the secondary cats also by adding two sections of stainless pipe. Here is a picture....

Anthony, That is exactly what Im talking about when I sad you would have to fab something up. It looks as though who ever did yours did great work however, I just paid $3300.00 for an exhaust and for that price I shouldnt have to do mickey mouse shit like that. Why did SuperSprint end the x pipe there? why did they just not carry it another 8 inches to the OEM connection for that second cat? They lied and this trash cant get back to Italy fast enough. I have been under this car for 3 hours
How did it work out for you? do you have the race exhaust or the sport? How loud is it if you have the non race exhaust? |

I did the install myself. My company is the importer/distributor for Eisenmann so we are obviously running the Eisenmann Race exhaust. We added the SuperSprint X Pipe to it and ran into the same issue you did upon installing. The solution in the pic was flawless but we did have to expand some pipes and weld the sections togeather. The sound/tone that we achieved is amazing but a little too loud for my taste. We have videos up on our youtube at www.youtube.com/eisenmannusa .
