I found this comment to be pretty interesting if not accurate from the Motor One comments section:

From every actual review I have read of the NSX, it truly is an amazing machine especially considering the civility and reliability of it. I've only seen a couple on the road and they are are unmistakable Supercar in appearance.

The original ones have more then tripled The original NSX-R (1992-2005) is worth about $200k on up these days if you can find one.... There was an article recently about two of them being auctioned off and they were expecting up to $450,000 for the minty 2005 one https://www.autoblog.com/2019/05/20/...-pair-auction/ Last edited by Socal_R8; 05-29-2019 at 12:26 AM.. |

No matter what the performance is, unfortunately, the Acura badge cannot command a $200k price tag. I had considered buying an NSX but ended up purchasing a Ferrari 458. I know the Acura has better tech, is more comfortable and a bit faster than the 458, but from a resale perspective and the passion that the Ferrari name has, it was a clear choice for me.

if the new nsx is coming in at just about 200k plus and they can't sell them. yeah who cares. now Acura is given a 30k discount to move these cars. with that being said I highly doubt that a type r version is going to make it here for 200k. then add on the fact that any dealer who gets one can ask what ever they want. thus the civic type r being sold on showroom floors for 5k to 10k more than sticker. so let a Honda dealer yes a honda dealer because that is all they are, have control of the sale of a car like this and there goes that sticker price.

Sure you're then comparing a used car to a new car, but it's a fair comparison considering the person with $200k to burn would likely consider both. I would sooner drop $200k on a used Huracan than $200k on a new Acura. No question. Now at $120k (or sub $100k...which is where I can see used 2018 models going in a few years) I would happily snatch an NSX as a second car.
