Wow, that is sad. I tell you, some of those young drivers are really making some poor decisions. It seems like I have read more of them lately than usual

the wording of the title of the story is where I have issue.

Like if this happened to the guys at the Foundation for Law And Government, it'd be like they're trying to blame KITT instead of Michael Knight.

they're not blaming the engine for killing the man. they're saying he was going so fast to cause a strong enough impact to make the engine jump in the middle of the street

If that's step 1, what is step 2? Getting my daddy to buy me a baseball team? Or, become a raging alcoholic?

So if I'm reading this correctly…

M6 crosses double yellow and hits Explorer head on.
When that happens, both occupants of the BMW go flying from the car (I'm guessing it was a vert, because going through the windshield would have probably killed them), and at the same time the engine flew out of the engine bay?

I would think if the engine dropped down, that would not allow the car to keep going. Because it sounds like the engine left the car, and the chassis continued on down the road.

Not saying the BMW driver didn't eff up. But the reporting just seems kinda thrown together.

Here's what happened....

The car was a new M3, not an M6...it was so badly destroyed that the cops "thought" it was an M6 because of the CF roof...but it was an e92 M3 (new)...

The kid was not authorized to drive it...took it out to impress a friend. Lost control on a very deceiving road, over corrected into on-coming traffic at a very high-rate of speed. Upon initial impact w/ the Ford Explorer, the two persons were ejected from the vehicle, the passenger supposedly went out the front windshield and after the rebound impact, the driver was also somehow ejected...the car was going so fast, that it bounced and rolled after initial impact, throwing the motor into the road...

Drive carefully people...seriously...stupid people make insuring a nice car very expensive...

Funny how it is never a 64 year old in a speeding powerful sports car crossing a double yellow. But I suppose that is just media bias against the youth of the country.

dont worry about the story, its much more entertaining to occupy yourself with the title of the thread, rather than the tragedy that has taken place.

There's this thing called 'pussy', it helps guys like you loosen up and not take small things so serious.
