Logic 7 - 750i

Hey guys, im having trouble getting my 750 to sound good. ive played around with, it either rattles in the back seat area, dunno what, maybe speaker..

anyways, i wanna get them to sound like this,

of course id never blast them like this driving around, but id want it to sound like that when im cruisin, volume not blasting.

what type of setting changes should i make?

ps. cd sounds better then AUX right? i got my ipod hooked up, so maybe its the aux that just sounds shitty.

thanks!

Wow, archaic iDrive. Um, does the 750i have an equalizer?

AUX doesn't sound bad if you're using the digital out on the bottom. It will be CD quality for sure.

If you want to hook up an iPod to the AUX jack, you need one of these -
http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Ultra-...9371743&sr=8-7

An oldie but a goodie. Get a good set of cables to plug into the AUX jack and you'll be golden. It charges and plays at the same time and when you shut off your car it pauses the music so the iPod turns off by itself.

Your problem, for one, ignoring the EQ settings, is that you're using the headphone jack. The iPod isn't made to blast music and push out quality sound from the headphones, but it can do it digitally through the bottom port. Try it!

has an eq but im not sure what to set it at. along with bass and treble.

ill prolly pickup that ipod charger thing too, you know if i can grab it from best buy or futureshop?

im gonna play around with my system later on. i know the cd quality is great, im just too scared to turn it up too loud to hear its potential in fear of blowing the speakers lol

edit: best buy has ipod charger by monster....for 100$...lol

how would i set that up?

edit: so that charger/fm transmitter would send my music from my ipod to a radio frequency in my car. wouldnt that hinder sound quality though, even with monster cable?

kinda like this?

plus for the car, i should just get a charger, and plug it in and plug it into the aux as well and play through that? i have a generic aux cable, sounds ok, nothing special, you cant feel the bass from the good songs that well.

What I did was played a bunch of tracks from my iPod while adjusting each individual bar until I thought it sounded right. It'll sound dull and muffled if it's too low, and too sharp and tinny if it's too high.

On the left end of the spectrum regarding the bass, I think it depends on the type of music. Sometimes I have it in the middle range, other times I have it on full blast.

In terms of treble and bass, I leave treble one tick from the max, and bass usually two-three ticks from the max.

This is not an FM transmitter, FM transmitters sound horrible. What this does is open up a digital audio out on the bottom of the iPod, which is how it should be. You plug the charger into whatever cigarette lighter port you have, and plug the other end into the bottom of the ipod.

Buy an auxiliary cable for like $20 and plug one side of the cable to the piece hanging out the bottom of the ipod and the other into the AUX port. For a grand total of $45 you will have CD quality sound from everything on your iPod.

And FWIW don't go to Best Buy, they rip you off. Everything can be found cheaper online.

ill just go to the futureshop here and grab a simple car charger for it. i can hide all this stuff in my glovebox. i already have a simple aux cable, like 10 bucks, from what i heard from the guys there, they all pretty much sound the same unless you go monster.

but ill play around with my eq settings today.

thanks!

ps. no i didnt get the ipod adapter, atleast i dno if i have it in the car already lol, ill double check.

If you're plugging the AUX cable into the headphone jack of the iPod, you're dramatically worsening the sound quality the louder you turn it up. A simple charger won't do, the Monster one I recommended has a digital audio out on the bottom so the louder you turn up your volume you won't lose clarity. Just a thought for you.

k i figured out the problem for the shitty sound quality....the two speakers in the back, on the doors arent giving me good sound quality, i can barely hear anything from them, all i hear is puff, puff, if i crank it, i can kinda make out lyrics.

So your speakers are blown in the back, that's not a good thing haha, you'll have to fix those first.

If you look on the link I posted, the end without the cigarette lighter has a little gold piece on the bottom right. That's a digital audio out port. Plug the AUX cable into there and the other end into the AUX jack.

That's my setup currently, hidden away in the armrest. It sounds great, and just twisty-tie the auxiliary cable so that it's shorter. Good luck!

the monster setup doesnt sound that great in all honesty, i hear the thumping from the speakers from songs with bass and it doesnt sound great. there is no distorition in sound quality, it just isnt anywhere near cd quality and little better then the shit aux cable i had.

my eq is set perfectly for cd, i dont wanna change for ipod everytime, what should i do?
