When I was flying left seat in OH-58 Kiowas as an aeroscout, we would practice auto-rotations. Basically cut the throttle and come down with no power going to the rotors. *Most* times we'd get down to 100ft or so and crank on the power and go around, just practicing auto-rotation approaches. But every now then the pilot would get permission to keep the throttle off and complete the landing. No power, still carrying forward motion, then a nice grinding slide down the runway for a bit on the skids.
Guess which one was way more fun. "Approaches" are like sex without an orgasm. Semi-enjoyable, but definitely missing the best part. And these guys in the clip seriously need to invest in a GoPro.

At first glance it seems like the pilot had taken the levers back to reverse thrust, but this couldn't be an option during flight I think. Would be interesting if he had full load behind or an empty can...
