sat in one at a vw dealer today while my car was getting serviced.

the exterior is gorgeous, especially when viewed from the front or front 3/4. the taillights are waaaay too feminine looking though. it screams girl car from the back. the interior looks good, but feels SUPER cheap. the buttons creaked, the dash squeaked and there was lots of give in the panels when i pushed them in with my finger. i dunno.

the guy was sayin it'd run about 26-30 i think. not bad.

+1 on everything. I seen it at my local dealership. I'm quite suprised about the quality! thanks for mentioning it.

What do you think of the wider grille/wider stance from the front? I think it looks brilliant.

Brilliant seems to be the right word. It looks so aggressive, I love it. It has a really swoopy look to it, like everything is converging (like the front of the Tiguan even). The character line is really sharp (much so like the e92). I also like the side view mirrors.

But yeah, that's the first thing I do when I get in a car: I push the dash in. I think it tells you whether or not the car is built well. I hate creaks and noises that pop up later on. Everything squeaked in this car. Even when I sat in the seat I felt a slight movement to it. I like the stitching on them though.

Exterior gets an 7.5-8/10 from me. The back kills it.
Interior gets a 7.5/10. Horrible quality.
