Is the competition worth the $9,000 over ?
Just curious your thoughts as to why, or why didn't you order the Comp

I think it comes down to 2 main factors (assuming you're talking G8x):
-do you want 6MT or are you okay with auto -how much do you care about saying you have the "competition" The power difference is minor and can be made up in a $500 tune

Certainly not then, unless there is a major option that you can get on the competition that you cannot get on the non-competition car(like preferred interior color, etc), I know some options are specific. The comp and non-comp are virtually identical when it comes to mechanics, you can get more power than a stock competition package car with a simple tune.

I think for a lot of folks, it's not really a matter of $9000 more, but a few more bucks on the lease payment to drive the top trim (sort of). I think that makes the decision more palatable

Mission performance unlocked the new DME's for the Supra and G80/82
I think no one really put any effort into the newest S55 DME because it came at the end of the F8x lifecycle and I guess not that many M2c/cs owners are worth the effort, since the B/S58 DME is the new thing. |

No it won’t. Read the laws in the USA regarding this. I’ve done it and haven’t had a problem. The one time I was questioned, I supplied them with a copy of the law and my attorneys phone number. Know your rights and exercise them.

As they are with each new generation. And in a year or two it will be possible to tune them just like every other modern BMW.

Not saying you are wrong but then what stops people from going nuts and forcing out hundreds of HP more that an engine is designed to output? Can I tune a M340 to a M3 power level and hold BMW responsible on its warranty claim? |
