BMW X1 Standard Headlights

Hi all,

I've ordered my X1 with standard headlights (not the led ones) but I didn't find so far any real photo/ video of them only renderings from the configurator. Can anyone share it, please?

I didn't know they made the X1 without LEDs. There's only 1 headlight option here in the US

In some countries they sell it as an extra/ package.
The picture rendered in the configurator (the first ones are the led and the others bellow are the standard):

Have the same question how it will look in real. I was not able to make any changes as it was decided by my company so could not go for the adaptive led light.

On my render it looks like below:

Same question here.
Almost impossible to find a real picture of the base model headlights.
I beleive they are led but not adaptive.
I managed to find a standard 17 » wheels picture tho
Thanks for sharing if anyone finds one !

The color of the light suggests they are LED or at least HID, but in an open reflector housing vs. a projector.

not really sure... I meant that it didn't say "BMW LED" like on the headlight we have here on the US-spec X1.

does BMW or any other automaker still manufacture new cars with HID headlights? I don't know of any right now... everybody seem to have to switched to using LED or laser(for expensive models)

I couldn't get much from the Italy website and too lazy to translate, but I think the main/high beams are probably still LED, just reflectors instead of projectors, and the turn signal and halos are not.

I personally prefer a good HID with projectors, the light output tends to project more uniformly over a farther distance, and the output is a warmer color which is better for night driving and contrast. LED light tends to be a bit more diffuse and drops off sooner, though it has improved a lot in recent years.

I will gladly skip a couple of other options and in order to get laser headlight option if BMW offer it in the future. Other BMW models offer it for around $1000 which is cheap.(compared to close to $2000 when HID first became available all those years ago)

I don't care as much about the laser lights; I'd much prefer LED matrix anti-dazzle lights. It's available on the XC40 if you get the Ultimate package.

All are LED - even basic.
Difference is in the fact that the option is regarding adaptive LED lights…

US X1 does not get adaptive LED headlights. but it's also not the basic headlight like the one mentioned in this thread.

does that mean they are the same headlights as this X1 in South Africa?

Those are indeed the base LEDs for those models / cars that offer them.

I doubt many cars in the UK will get them. Most will be M-Sport with a few being X-Line, very very few base sport models will get these.

YouTube's auto Dutch-to-English tranlate function in the videos works really well these days! I can finally under stand what these French/German/Dutch/Chinese/Japanese X1 review videos are saying.

sadly, we here in the US get the third kind: the ugly LED non-adaptive headlights (not the base LED headlight, but also not full adaptive LED headlight)
