Digital Key Plus on Android keeps disconnecting

So far I've been very disappointed with DKP on my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. It is very far from being reliable. I'm annoyed it has to go through Samsung Wallet, which seems to disconnect all the damn time, and for no reason.

When it disconnects, there's no way of just tapping to force it to make the connection. I've tried updating my Google Play System, the MyBMW and the Samsung Wallet apps. I think I'm supposed to just keep setting it up with both key fobs, and who has time for that?

I'd love it if it worked more than 30% of the time. Does anyone have any workarounds or solutions?

I'm having the same issue on my pixel 6 pro and opened a support ticket. You should call BMW genius and open a ticket with them.

Interesting. Wife's had zero issues with hers on Pixel 6. Works perfectly for her otherwise I would've heard about it guaranteed 😜

I have a similar issue with my Pixel 6 Pro. It will randomly stop working, although the normal nfc digital key always still works in my case as well as the control over bluetooth in the quick settings. This means i can still drive my car but its just not wireless.
Sometimes i get a message about bluetooth connection being interrupted and after that it stops working always after that.
I do have a fix that eventually works everytime without repairing.

First walk out of range of the car, fully restart the phone, unlock the phone after it starts then wait a minute for the phone to do things.
It will work after that.
My typical routine when it stops working again is to get in the car with the plain digital key (touch phone to door handle to unlock then place in cradle to start).
Then restart my phone at my destination after i lock the car and im out of range.

Interesting. Mine has never worked.

Pixel 6 pro here, haven't had issues. But i was once away on vacation for 3 weeks had never logged into the BMW app so i had to log back in and everything came back on with no problems.

Although if i'm straight up driving with the phone, it'll sometimes randomly tell me my key is missing and come back.

They can walk you through troubleshooting steps. Mine has been working ok since the A14 update, probably works about 80% of the time now.

Hi all. I have a Samsung Galaxy Fold5, which I think came out in September 2023. The same month my new BMW x1 was delivered. Now for some reason I keep getting a message saying this device is not compatible with setting up my digital Key. I have the latest updates on both the android OS, and the wallet. Can anyone advise. It shouldn't matter If I'm not the main user right?
