What's your favorite beer(s)?
There are 26 threads with the word beer in it, but not a single beer thread that I can find on this board. Its time for that to change. I expect there is plenty of beer knowledge and experience around here, so I want everyone to share some of their favorites.
I like to drink a lot of local stuff, but I am currently in love with Aventinus by G. Schneider & Sohn. I like a lot of wheat beers and bocks so the combination is delightful. Your turn! |

Well for a while I was hung up on Guiness...then it down to the basics...Molson Cdn, Labatt's...then my tastes evolved a bit to kokanee Gold...
Stella Artois is pretty good, and I've had a few Austrian and Belguim imorted ones(don't know the names) that were tasty as well... Also tried Foster's(draught) for the first time about 2 weeks ago, it was good as well. ...I'm always on the look out for a new beer I guess... |

We have some outstanding microbrews in the area. My favorite is Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold. If you like darker beer, this is a pretty good one.
I also enjoy Franziskaner. It is a wheat beer from the Munich area. Good stuff (but quite filling). Great post, by the way. |

Fall/Winter - Dogfish Head - 90 Minute IPA (and an occasional 120 Minute IPA) or Shipyard Pumpkin Ale
Spring - Franziskaner Dunkel Weizen Summer - Wurzburger HofBrau - Julius Echter Weissbier I'm kind of a beer snob, even though I like a icy cold Dos Equis with lime at the beach. |

I go through phases. Right now my staple is Sam Adams Boston Lager. I'm also enjoying Linenkuegels (sp?) Sunset Wheat. Always enjoy a Dogfish head 60 minute IPA as well as St. Bernardus Abt. 12.

Birra Moretti (European version, not the lower alcohol version for US import).
Victoria Bitter Unfiltered RedHook Wheat directly from the Woodinville brew-pub before it is processed for bottling. Just like the 123d, I can't get any of these were I live now. Last edited by Nixon; 08-10-2009 at 05:05 PM.. |

Dogfish Head Raison d'Etre, Lagunitas Maximus, Two Brothers Domaine Dupage, Goose Island Pere Jacques, Three Floyd's Alpha King, Bell's Hopslam.
Hot summer? Erdinger or Ayinger Weissbeer. And for easily available mass-produced stuff: Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Goose Island Honker's Ale |
