POLL: If your prefer NA, you also prefer manual
Apologies should have included a poll in my other thread on this topic
I have a theory that NA lovers are also manual lovers... we crave connection with our cars! |

Preferences:
- N/A - Manual - Light weight (under 2400 lbs) - Some sort of open top - Not so powerful that throttle application causes me to drive the car tentatively Yes, I already own the perfect car for me. ![]() |

Not an easy thing to say prefer one or the other. I totalled my first 335is which was manual and now got a DCT one and idk, both have their pros and cons.
I don't dislike manual but I just have more pros with the DCT. It's my only car and daily so it's nice for traffic. I admit as well the upshifts sounds are so much better with the DCT. And the upshifts is quicker for sure. I don't feel either like I lost the connection to my car since I can still manually shift it with the paddles or lever. And with XHP flash, it's definitely aggressive enough for my liking. I would say the only real negative I found is that, sometimes it takes a while to go down gears, like let's say I'm in 7th cruising on highway and want to downshift myself with paddles to 2nd or 3rd, I noticed there sometimes a delay before the car goes WOT and takes my pedal input despite showing the right gear number in the dash. While in a manual car you can go directly from 6th to the gear you want. |
