does anyone have this strange ring imprint on the inside of the panoramic roof glass?

just noticed something curious...

I was taking a nap while waiting to pick up someone. It was cold so the interior glass fogged up. When I looked up, I noticed this ring. (see pic below)

It's about the size of a CD and on the non-movable rear glass of the panoramic roof. It was inside and I could wipe it off with my fingers. I have never cleaned the inside of the glass since delivery, so I assume that it has always been there?

What could have made that ring imprint? I was thinking maybe it was the tool that they use at the BMW factory to lift the glass... however, wouldn't it have been on the outside instead?

wow... mystery solved!

maybe when I really bored, I'll go visit my friend who is a retired detective. We can dust the whole car for fingerprints left by BMW factory employees in Regensberg?

Speaking of MBworld, when I got my old Mercedes many years ago, I found a genuine German screwdriver below the rear carpet. I was taking out all the carpets and seats to run the wires for dashcams. Some MB employee in Sindelfinger probably lost it.

I gave it to the Mercedes dealer service tech. He thought it was funny as well.

I cleaned it off with glass cleaner... I don't want to leave it on because I have a family member(adult) who is still traumatized by the movie "Ring" from when she was a youngster.
