Compatibility of 19'' 8,5Jx19 ET25 Wheels with X1 U11 2023
Hello fellow car enthusiasts,
I'm reaching out to the community for some advice regarding wheel compatibility for my vehicle. I own a 2023 X1 U11 and am considering getting a new set of winter wheels/tires. The ones I found (used) are 19'' 8,5Jx19 ET25. The tire size for these wheels would be 245/45/R19. Before I make the investment, I want to ensure these wheels are a suitable fit for my car. The current stock OEM wheel specifications on my X1 U11 are 8Jx19 ET46. My main concerns are: Will the new wheel size cause any issues with the vehicle's handling or performance? Are there any potential clearance problems, particularly when turning or during suspension travel? Is there a significant difference in the offset (ET25 vs. ET46) that I should be worried about? Would these changes affect the speedometer reading or any other vehicle dynamics? I'm hoping to gather insights from those who have experience or knowledge in this area. Any advice, tips, or suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help! Best regards, |

I should also clarify that mine are not winter wheels or tires. I have zero experience with snow, was just commenting on the figment.

Studs don't actually do anything for you on snow, they're mainly for ice. Non-studded tires with deep treads are better for snow. Of course, both are better than summers or all seasons.

you will have no clearance issues with that set up, you will find that your wheels poke out slightly from the fender wells, which as someone mentioned above, to consider getting flaps or something, otherwise you'll get the car pretty dirty and also risk getting more chips and scratches along the side skirts and doors.
