is your nearest BMW dealership more than 100 miles away from your home?

if so, did that affect your decision to buy or not buy a new BMW?

Thanks!

The dealership we use is 32 miles away; however, the closest is only 19 miles away. We’ve purchased four BMWs from them since 2014. Prior to that, we used a dealer that was 45 miles away. Purchased four BMWs and one Mini from them between 2003-2012. Switched dealerships because our CA, unfortunately, passed away.

We also tried working with two other dealers 40 miles and 58 miles away but received poor customer service and shady CAs which were more like used car salespeople. We moved on quickly. This was when we found our current CA and have been extremely pleased with the service and respect that we’ve received.

Mileage didn’t affect our buying decisions. Having a CA you can trust and work with does affect our buying decisions.

Yes, 128 miles, just under 2 hours. And no, it didn't affect my buying decision because the BMW I bought isn't known for having issues, especially the engine.

There are 6 in the DC area. But the most is around Los Angeles, in the double digits!

I'm in the DC/Baltimore area, and I have 6 within 50 miles, and 4 within 35 miles.

which DC area BMW dealer would your recommend for the free routine annual oil/filter service? I'll be in the area in a couple of months(around the same time that my service is due)

when I used to live in the area, I went to BMW of Fairfax because they were the closest.

Thanks!

coo! I'll go "back" to them when I 'm in the area.

after all these years, I still order my BMW parts from them over the internet.

I am in NYC. There are 3 dealers in the city and probably 8 within 100 miles. I was shopping for a used X5 and found what I wanted in a Carmax, of which there are 2 in the immediate vicinity. The nearest BMW dealership is 6 miles away but it was a very disappointing experience.

1.5 hour drive for me.

Did not affect my decision because the way I looked at it....it was just another way I get to drive it more. All good.

No, because I've never taken my car to a dealership. Ever.

bmw dealer is 10 minutes away
porsche dealer is 1.5 hours away.

it doesn't really affect me with my m2 or 911 since neither are daily drivers. but we are looking for an SUV for my wife and it does make the x3 more appealing than the macan.

I only have to make two turns to go my BMW dealer. It's three miles from my house door to door.

It does not matter how far you go to get a great deal, what really matters is finding a great service dept close by. I have made deals as far as 6 hours away, but my service dept is less than 20 minutes away. The funny is I never purchased a BMW from the dealership where I have my BMW(s) serviced.

my friend bought his M2 from a BMW dealer in Tennessee... more than 1400 miles away. Everything was done online or over the phone. When it finally arrived 4 months later, he and his daughter flew there and took an uber to the dealership.

he did ask his local BMW dealer about 10 minutes away to see if they would match the price. He even showed them the sales contract. Nope, his local BMW dealer said no... probably because they have way too many customers?

there is a bunch of new luxury townhouses behind my BMW dealer. When I was waiting for service, I wondered over there. I thought it would be really nice to live there. The closest one was less than 100 feet from the side of the dealership building. Well.. that was until I walked into the model home and chatted with the agent... apparently for the smallest townhouse at only 1900 sq ft, the price started at 1.8 mil. at those prices, I probably don't want my bedroom window to face a BMW dealer, even if I love BMWs now.
