My status changed to at the port yesterday(01/19/2024), any idea on how long will it take to reach Chicago dealership from now?

Anyone here who can share the timelines for their recent X1 orders?

it's usually about a two week turn time from there. Depends on the dealership and the freight company that hauls the cars to the dealer.

I'm assuming you're referring to the departure port in Europe?

If so, you can expect 2 to 3 months depending on if it catches the ride on a ship quickly. Mine was waiting approx 4 weeks at the departure port but some have only waited a few days to a few weeks. Some have waited longer than 4 weeks.

Once he gets to the USA Port, it could take a few weeks to get to Chicago.

Timeline:
10/11: Order received
10/11: Production scheduled
10/16: Production begins
10/30: Exterior assembly begins
10/31: Paint booth
11/02: Entering assembly line
11/02: Assembly in progress
11/02: Quality check
11/03: Final assembly
11/03: Ready for transport
11/03: Awaiting carrier assignment
11/03: Dispatched from factory
11/06: At the port (Zeebrugge)
12/04: In Transit (departed Zeebrugge December 1st on Apollon Highway).
12/20: Switched to "At Port" (vessel arrived Brunswick night of 12/19)
12/29: In Transit to Dealership

I’m also “At the port” awaiting a vessel to NY, as mentioned in your previous thread (https://u11.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...5#post30818095). I also gave a break down of the timeline to delivery from this point. If your dealership is in Chicago, your vehicle is probably queued to get on the next available vessel from Bremerhaven to Baltimore port. As folks have mentioned, it probably takes a couple of weeks to get to the dealership in Chicago once the ship arrives in USA.

I’ve attached the upcoming schedule for WW vessels heading to Baltimore (https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/schedules). You can also call BMW Genius to see if you’ve been assigned to a ship yet, but it’s not typically available until after the ship you’re on has already left.

My X1 changed to “at the port” on January 29th 2024.
It changed to “in transit” today Feb 2. But the tracking says it actually left yesterday.

If you are east coast and NY area it should land on Feb 15

I am in Chicago. So i don't think my vehicle would be on same vessel as you.

I'm in Chicago, and my Z4 went through Baltimore as well. Once it arrived there, took three days to get to my dealer here. Was about 2 weeks from time it left the port to when it arrived in US.

Mine was at port status for 4 days but when I got the vessel name it actually left a day before the status changed.

I’ve read a bunch of different things but I saw that Chicago can come from Baltimore port and Bmore is sometimes a stop after NY. So maybe.
