Well at least I finally got my new Smart car..... now I just have to wait till April 1st to pick up my 135i ! I can't wait to go from 70hp/68tq all the way up to 300hp/300tq !!!!!

I took a look of the Smart Car in person. It's so weird it's cool. They make it almost like a cell phone... swapping body panels and all.

Gets too much attention at times particularly when I have my PPG strapped to the back of it.

That thing looks crazy with the PPG strapped to the back of it ! I agree they get way too much attention, especially for the price but it does make the car fun to drive because sometimes you forget why in the heck people are looking at you and pointing. I drove it on the 2 hour trip to my BMW dealer to test drive the 135 and pay for mine. It was such a blast to go from 70hp and 68tq up to 300hp (330?) and 300tq !!

how! ust swap a R1 motor in to that thiing !!! GOD!! u will burn a 135i till end of 2nd gear if better driver, 3rd gear.. i know cuz i saw one and it burned a bmw 335i like nothing! lol give it a shot ull go insane

I placed a deposit online back in Nov 2007 however, after they went on sale I just gave my local dealer my name and said call me if you get one in and the people who ordered it turn it down (these are called Orphans). I happened to stop by the dealer about a month ago and jokingly asked if they had any orphand and they said we did, let us check to make sure. Turns out they did have one and I bought it that day, I recently had advertising applied for my law practice.

I'd love to have a Smart, but the asking price is just a little too much for me to justify it right now. Obviously it's reasonable to a lot of people though, because there's a waiting list for them. Maybe in a few years when the price comes down I'll snag one.

You see thousands of them in big cities in Europe. The price isn't too bad here but the low cost of running due to exemption from congestion charges, minimal or no tax, and low fuel consumption make them very popular.

Also, have you tried parking in Paris?
