forChicago: a white X1 was rear-ended in front of Firestone Tires, across from Oberweis ice cream in Skokie this morning. Accident took place at the intersection of Skokie and Dempster. It will most likely be totaled by the insurance company.

My co-worker sent me the link earlier. He was just 2 blocks away.

Misleading. The X1 didn't burst into flames, whatever that car behind that hit it did.

The wording of the thread title makes it sound like the X1 ignited on its own due to being rear ended. The photo suggests the car that hit the X1 caught on fire, and the X1 doesn’t look like it ignited at all.

corrected the error.... just saw the dashcam from the truck that was following them(not involved in the accident) and it appeared that the car in the back caught fire... and the flame left burn marks on the tailgate and rear bumper for the X1.
