Did someone with ID9 noticed this?

It’s an animation that reminds the kind of stuff we are used to see on Tesla. I mean useless stuff.

Yes. Bmw should do better software updates instead of this!

Did this appear randomly or as part of a recent update? Do you have digital premium?

It showed up randomly. My digital premium expired before this.

The one on New Years played automatically on January 1st. This may do so as well on Halloween 🎃 but I’m surprised it’s showing up in vehicles in other countries. I always thought Halloween was an American thing. I guess I’m mistaken

You have to hunt for it in the standard app menu for a few days.

I just saw it now here on 03/2024.40. It’s called Festive App for me, and just plays a little halloween video with the i5… can’t tell if it’s doing anything to the lighting because it’s so sunny here so maybe ill try again tonight

I got in the car yesterday and saw a message pop up - "you have something special from BMW" (or something like that...) and it played when I clicked on it. It had sound, and the animation and ambient lights synched. Cool! I looked at it again in the All Apps section, and it played again, but without sound. Supposed to last a few days...

I found it in Notifications - the bell icon. Quite cool at night with the ambient light blinking and changing colours.

Yeah, last Sunday (Oct 27th) when I started the car, I got same message "you have something special from BMW" and when I clicked on it, the video started. It's nice but as the other guys mentioned, it would be better to invest that effort on something else. Also, good thing that you can play it again (but not sure for how long, the invoice was dated Dec 28th of 2023 but I picked it up until January 11th 2024 so I never got the message nor the video for New Year.... perhaps because I didn't "activate" the car?
