Brake Service Light

Hello all! Took my 2021 X2 in for a oil change and rear brake service. Oil change was done but brakes still had 5mm left so they did not replace them. Well, the oil service reminder they cleared but not the brake pad reminder and now of course I have the other red brake warning light on since I am over the miles.

I went in to the diagnostic area, and it reads Reset Possible. So I do the reset and end up with Reset Unsuccessful. Parking brake is off. Is there anyway to reset this or do the pads need to be replaced in order to reset? Dealer said they could not replace them until they get down to 3mm. So surely there is a way to turn it off until it gets to 3mm?

Thank you,

Nils

You're in the wrong subforum. You want to be here (F48/F39):

You may not have known but you’re in the wrong forum if you don’t have a x1 or x2 that is 2023 or newer(u11 & u10)

Use the F48 forum
