Do you park in EV charging spots?
If there are literally no other spots available I will. I did this in Fashion Square in Scottsdale a month or so ago during a music festival.
It's not the same as a handicap spot |

I'm betting if you had an EV you wanted to charge and found a non EV in a charging spot, you'd have a hissy fit and melt down. Your thread would then be about how rude that driver was and you had to go out of your way to a charging station on the way home and waste X amount of time instead of being able to charge while you were at an event. And you would be correct....

Recently took my dad (91 years old) to the hospital to do a CT scan. The indoor parking lot handicap parking spaces were all switched to EV charging stations. The handicap parking spaces are not next to the hospital at more. What are the hospital thinking, charging EV is more important than anything else. And yes, I am very piss with this EV arrangement

No question. And at a hospital, of all places.

But you see it's all about money. If the handi spots are now further away or not at all that means there's more chance of an incident on the walk in. That's more time in care and more they can charge medicare. EV should always be at the back because they will be there for a longer time than anyone else. And maybe not even a patron to the establishment. |

I guess if there were absolutely no parking places and you had to get to your music event, it seems okay for you to park in an EV charging spot. But why stop there? If a gas station was even closer to the music venue, you could just as easily pull up to the pump at the gas station and park it there. If you're not going to give a $hit, you may as well do it right. |

This is nowhere near as good of trolling as the TSA precheck thread, you're already losing your edge there Tyga. Maybe space them out a little more? Workshop your ideas as comments before you start new threads? I don't know for sure, just trying to be helpful!

Would you park your car at the nearest gas pump to go to your music festival?

Gas stations are required and necessary while EV charging stations are not I can not have a gas pump in my home or else I would You can charge at home , so EV stations are a convenience Also handicap spots are far more important A handicap person would rather not be like that, park 1/2 mile away and hop skip and run to the store. The amount of EV knobs tells you all you need about their owners And no I would not park where I am not supposed to |

I've never been in a situation where there are no other spots available, but even if I did I probably would avoid parking in one. The EV people have enough tantrums getting pissed at each other for staying past full charges in those spots. I don't need someone fucking with my car for parking in one.

Now what YOU are doing is a dialogue fallacy, false dillema. It's not because EV charging spots exist that handicaps spots can't exist even closer. It's not one or the other. That's on the parking management or whoever is the idiot that set it up like that. |
