I'd also say the 1 series although the Z3 looked like a rabid dog with its tail between its legs. The Z4 greatly improves on the appearance and was my third choice for models (still wouldn't fit into my garage).

How about none as a choice? The 1 series is a sweet little car.

I think the X3 used to be the ugliest car, when it had the grey plastic panels... but now it's not as bad.

I can't vote on this poll. I don't think any of them are ugly.

In my opinion, the Z4 is the one I don't like - I don't like the shape of its nose, its lateral profile, etc. Now, it drives beautifully though!
The 7 Series is nice, but too big for my taste. |

It's not even a question. It's the X3. It looks like a crushed X5.

me too .. I can't vote on this poll .. "ugly" is too harsh of a term and as a wise man said to each his own and also most importantly beauty is in the beholder's eye.

The 1 looks pretty good in certain colours, and is pretty good looking for a 'smaller' car.
I agree, that I don't dislike any of the shapes. They are still head and shoulders above other marques. Beauty is in the eye of the purseholder! |

i would say the X3, its like BMW wanted 2 make a cheap X5, that's IMO...
i cant believe there r so many of u that say the Z4 is ugly!!!! i really like the look of that car, whenever i c one on the street i cant resist staring at it and the Z3 was a fine looking car at its time, it was very stylish, but now it looks out dated...

X3 hands down ... more because it's an obvious marketing niche car with no real reason for being. No real brand pedigree ... doesn't that make any sense? At least the 1 is rwd in a sea of fwd compacts. The X3 is just dumb which makes it ugly regardless of it's styling (which is still ugly). Sadly, I saw more of those on the road than e90s up until recently.

I voted X3. A friend at work has one and he gets flak about it looking like a station wagon. I don't think it looks like a station wagon at all, but it certainly isn't a pretty thing. It does drive very well for an SUV and the interior is nice.
The panoramic sunroof is nice as well, its just the exterior that really ruins the car.
