I have the bold and its freaking great. best phone ever. My girlfriend ahs an i phone so i am familiar with both and much prefer the bold. In march RIM is opening an app store as well so we should see similar app downloads as the i phone

Had it since last week... but that's because I work for the company and hold a nice position.
It's a great product and feel free to PM me with any questions

I got a AT&T/HTC Fuze (Touch Pro) last week to replace my Tilt. Flashed a custom ROM and Radio on it already, and have some very cool software already, including a pre-release of a GPS/Accelerometer enabled data logging/G Meter app.
I love this device so far. Initial reports of the Blackberry Storm say that it's decent, but that it was rushed to market and has some sizable flaws. |

They say its the most feature packed blackberry to date but it does have lag issues but it should be fixable with upgrading the OS. Its just a question of when the upgrade will be available

I sat in line this morning for an hour and a half only to be the 12th in line for 11 phones. I did get to play with the demos and there are definitely some issues. The back button didn't work on one of them and the screen didn't click in the bottom left corner of the other. If I have any of those issues I'll definitely return it. Save the lag and the minor issues its a great phone, concept, and interface.

No haven't received one yet....the only way I could have gotten it today was to camp out at a store. Corp sales sometimes can get it arriving on release date. In this case...it ships today from the VZW warehouses and/or being sold in limited quantities in stores.
I even pushed my sales rep that I could pick it up from his office but he told me they're being shipped directly from warehouse to my office.

busy day to say the least and of course we are more upset at not having enough phones than our customers were... good news is we're going to ship to customers before replenishing inventory in the stores.

We don't get them in Canada until next month but I'm first on the reserved list at my local store.
Most of the problems I've seen so far relate to the touch screen but only if you are a heavy user and a fast typer. Luckily my typing sucks.

It looks like almost everyone will be waiting till December for delivery. If you took delivery today then you may have got the wrong OS version.

I got mine yesterday at my local verizon store and the one i have is def. got some major issues with it. If the issues can be worked out with a software update then this phone would be awesome but for now...... it is def disappointing to say the least

two things to note about the shipping/software...
a. All storms shipped had the latest software flashed (however there will be a future release in the next few weeks - as we always do). I can't comment on more details compared to that article but it's not as accurate as readers will perceive it to be. b. One of the main problems with the Storm is on the user side. You must close every program you open on the phone. Ie. Only by choosing the menu and scrolling to the bottom hitting close. Otherwise all of your programs will remain open and slow the phone down. In addition you can check the task bar at anytime by pressing & holding the blackberry button for about 3 seconds. Some programs will always remain running in the background.
