sleep paralysis

So last night when i was sleeping i woke up at around 4am, i was awake but i couldn't move, i tired to scream and nothing came out, all i hear was whistling noises coming from my room, it was the worst feeling ever, i wanted to escape my room but i was stuck in my bed couslnt move my hand or feet.... but i managed to fall back asleep, but at 5am the same thing happened to me again. Its a horrible thing, so who else has had this happen to them?

I've had that happen to me. Pretty sure it was a state between dreaming and being awake. You're trying to scream in your dream, yet at the same time, you realize you're not really screaming in reality

Actually, this is due to the fact that you're in the middle of Stage3, or Deep Sleep (I'm not quite sure) and then somehow something or someone waked you up (possibily you were switching sides and bump into something). Your brain knows you're still sleeping, so it stops all your access to huge movements and anything to protect you from getting hurt.

At that moment you should be considered as awake, but your brain still thinks you're sleeping because you are suppose to be sleeping. And sometimes you would still be dreaming while awake, making your dreams more realistic than ever.

It's very normal to have situations liek these.

However, alot of people that does not understand this situation would blame it on Ghosts, UFOs, and Aliens.

There were cases in which people stuck in that phase would see aliens trying to kidnap them.

holy sh*t....there's a name for this! this has happened to me like twice. I saw an alien one of the times and i thought i was trippin out. It has to be the most helpless feeling when you're trying to move or shout and nothing happens.

Thankful it has not happened in a long time.

It was a Dracula type figure in the corner of my room that I would see/thought I saw.

It was brutal. Thought I might dookie once or twice too.

Once a few years ago...and once a few weeks ago. Last for about 15 seconds. Apparently it happens when you wake up in the middle of deep REM sleep, and your body hasn't fully woken up yet, even through your conscious mind has.

Scariest
Shit
Ever.

Does this happen to anyone else a lot?

You are falling asleep, but you suddenly awake and your whole body twitches for a second violently...

I've had this happen to me repeatedly, even multiple times in the same night and I had this since I was a child. I hate it and it freaks me out. I usually try to wake my body up by trying to jerk my body out of the sleep. It hurts but eventually I can jerk my neck or torso to wake the rest of my body.

I'm afraid when I'm really old that I will have an episode and I will not have enough strength to jerk my body to wake it up. So I will be stuck in sleep paralysis and no one will be there to help me get awake. Frightening....

Sounds crazy as hell, and I though a dead leg was the worst.

If you seen the movie Seven, it feels like you're the victim Sloth. No joke. You're coherent of your surrounding (you can even open your eyes) but you can't move your body cuz it feels like you're being weighed down.

I've had this before. Sometimes it would happen for a few days at a time. What I've noticed is that for most (if not all) of the time, it usually occurred when the weather was really hot.

Sweet, summer's here...

Happened to me two or maybe three times. Usually when I wake up unexpectedly, like one time someone was knocking on the door of the apartment while I was napping on the couch in the living room.
