Competition (Audi and Mercedes) look much nicer. I'd rather have (and pay for) the previous generation 7 series.

No, I think the only good looking series out now are the 1 and 3 series... BMW has made their cars so big now that its getting ridiculous. The previous gen 5 series looks pretty good, and isn't the size size of a suburban.

I think the E39 was perfect. The E60 only looks good with M-sport and M treatment. This new model looks more like the old E39 but with hints of the new 7 too. It's perfect. ...and for people who think it's boring I think for this class of car it's great. Right now the XF is my favourite. Now I'm not so sure.

How can people make an opinion on a car when 75% of its surface is covered with a tarp?

thery aren't that big, and they keep the BMW identity while adhering to the new Euro pedestrian safety laws. What would you have them do and still fit the radiator, engine, AND have crush protection space above the engine?

I really dig it. Looks like a smaller 7 series, which brings me back to how BMW used to be; similar in design but different in size.
The fact you're saying the 1 series is one of two good looking BMWs on the market.... depreciates the substance of your opinion.

I love it, it's more timeless and less bizarre stying than its predecessor.
Those of you who dismiss the car's styling: I think it will be quite the looker in the flesh. P.S. It will still be available with a six speed manual on the 535i/550i :O |
