Updated: The Stig of Top Gear turns in the fastest wet lap time with the Lexus LF-A
The Lexus LF-A turned in a 1:22.3 lap time being driven by The Stig on a very wet race track.
With that levels of power, on the dry, The Stig could have easily knocked off more than 2 seconds at around 1.19.xx making it one of the fastest ever supercars tested on the dry even more so than the Lamborghini LP670 Superveloce, LP560-4, F430 Scuderia etc. Lexus truly made an extremely well engineered super car: Hammond's review: Lap:

For 340k pounds, I should hope so, which puts it at around $550k USD (although, I thought I recalled it was closer to $400k).

Price in Europe has nothing to do with pricing in the US. It never works that way for any car through direct conversion. That is why M3 does not cost over $100k in US after you convert 60,000 pounds to dollars.
Officially, Lexus said it will be priced at $375,000 in the US. Considering the Enzo was close to a million and the Porsche Carrera GT was $440,000, it is not hard to believe Lexus will be losing money on every car.

I am not a fan of the plain jane looks of the F458 Italia. Then I know beauty is in the beholder's eye.
The LF-A front lights are weird, but other than that, I think the car is extremely well designed especially from the back, aesthetically speaking.

That is one expensive Toyota.
I kid, I kid. Seems like quite a performance machine.

Old news. Honda officially scrapped the project to create a SH-AWD supercar almost 2 years ago. The prototype is gathering dust in warehouse somewhere. It was not going to be cheaper anyway.

Watching it last night the wife came in from the kitchen and ask was this my next car (hint, hint) and she thought the looks and noise was incredible. Well that was until I told her the price, at which point she went off it pretty quick.
Hamster ending comment was probably the right one, it's brilliant and all that but it's still a Lexus and doesn't justify it's price difference over the likes of the other exceptional Japanese car that is the GTR. BTW it will probably record just under 1:19 on a really good dry day. P.S. Clarkie was a bit rough on the X6, but then those comments have been repeated courtless times before. |

I love the rear of the car, but I think the side and front need a little more aggressiveness. another amazing thing is it still have the typical lexus soft ride compare to other supercar, but can still turn fast lap time. I remember reading this somewhere before. |
