haha. i've heard from sources near or in the team that the goal is to promote young americans, but right now the team needs guidance to get going as there isn't any young americans with enough experience.....
basically, we need moneys!

Guess they got some of it with Lopez. They missed Nick and Pedro on the "development/guidance" department. God help us if they sign Jacque or Ralph... O'Brother...

He bringing $8 million in sponsorship (and no salary from the team I'd guess), which is interesting since it doesn't seem like much money given a team's total yearly budget...but then, the newer, cheaper F1 being touted may be playing by new rules.
Off the top of my head I remember teams spent around $250M annually in year's past. |

I hope they consider Alexander Rossi as the reserve driver as I would think he probably doesn't have his superlicense yet in order to compete in F1 (Currently in GP2). He will be competing in a full season of GP3 this year. He shows a lot of potential for an american.
