Has anybody heard any news/rumours when the 135i will be available? I think the 3d 135i would be sweet.

Unfortunately the 1-series isn't sold in the US (is sold in Mexico). BMWNA is afraid it would cut into E90/92 sales. Many enthusiasts here in the US would be all over 1-series.

Tom Purves says it is coming (BMW NA Chairman / CEO) according to Roundel. Paraphrasing the quote, he said it is no longer a matter of "if" but rather "when". This was in one of the summer issues, about 4-5 months ago.

Yes, i have read many rumors that around 2008 there will be a 135i arriving at our shores!!!! Can you say ultimate car? anyone think bmw has numbed the driving experience, well this car will make you take that back!

My next car is the 130i coupe. I read that once the 1 series coupe and convertible are launched they will be brought over here .

it was a rumer before, but its getting real slowly, it would be a blast!!!!!

currently the top model is the 130i with 255hp, and they want to go even faster!

E87 130i has the same engine as the 330i but with a slightly different exhaust system producing 265 instead of 258 European BHP and 315Nm instead of 300Nm. 135i is probably going to have the >306BHP 335i engine...

i would imagine that since the a3 is now out its only matter of time till BMW brings a competitor.
