Another watch thread
I couldn't find that one watch thread where you guys posted recommendations so here's mine. I'm looking for a watch in the $500-600 range (or $1000 or so at Tourneau ). I'm open to all suggestions/brands/etc.

PS: Just get whatever you like. You're not buying "the shit" at that price range. Hell, I'd just spend a few hundred and buy something that looks awesome.

Just bought this watch from this guy (he will sell it for $270) I Went to my mall to get links removed and they showed me they had the same watch, and they would of sold it to me with a 15% discount for $900 . They were acting like it was a deal. haha
http://cgi.ebay.com/ACCUTRON-LUCERNE...#ht_2432wt_941 Looks very nice for the price, not to blingy, just enough |

I have a couple from this place. Great boutique brand and really quality pieces. Gunter (owner) has several pieces that are in your price range. They come out of Germany and take about a week to get here, but are well worth it. |

I was in that same situation recently...but the stuff I really wanted was all like $1500+
I ended up buying this Guess http://www1.macys.com/catalog/produc...tegoryID=29200 Love it so far, only $125 so I don't feel guilty wearing it everyday, and looks more expensive than it is...I've gotten compliments from people wearing Oris, Omega, etc. thinking I'm wearing an $800 watch. FWIW if you're set on getting a premium brand, I recommend Oris, they have some really good looking stuff in $800 range. But for me, If I'm not spending $1000+ I figured I might as well just get something cheap and pocket the extra $600 When I was looking in the 700-1000 range Amazon.com seemed to have a really good selection Last edited by BTM; 04-29-2010 at 09:35 AM.. |

Well it's important to set goals man... $450.00 is a reasonable price and you shouldn't feel bad about getting it on your way to the 335.
I've actually found that sometimes getting a little reward mid-push actually helps you a bit on the way to the top. Especially if work is really tedious/stressful for a consecutive number of days (~30+). It can kind of make it "worth it" so to speak. Of course in this arena, I can only give bad advice... I'm always looking for a new excuse to fill another slot in the 'ole watch box. |

My advice would be to get on timezone.com and ask the same question. I'd also recommend against buying any watch with a fashion designer's label on it. Gucci, guess, armani, etc., are all not worth it. From the horological perspective, there are more interesting timex's out there, imo.
