335 in my future???

i was talking to my dad tonight, and it goes as follows:

dad: how do ya like the car?
me: its awesome! i love it! just wish i would have waited for the sport package
dad: what do you think about that new 2 door 335, the twin turbo one?
me: i think its is the most insane car ive ever seen! its amazing!
dad: you should have waited to get that one.
me: how much would it be to change my car for that one?
dad: a lot
me: why would it be so much more than my car now?
dad: you lease is too new.
me: its already almost a year
dad: stilll too new
me: so in like another 6 months when its halfway over will it still be new?
dad: no
me: and would it be a reasonable price to change cars if the lease wasnt very new?
dad: probably
me: so are you trying to tell me that you might change my car to a 335 when my lease isnt "new"? and is that why you kep telling me not to do anything to my car, that it's a waste of money?

dad: you never know.....

bottom line is that my dad got a new car like every year (his first car was a porsche, then an old ferrari)when he was a kid. i wonder if i will get the same treatment???

i think your dad was trying to tell you that patience pays.. and by patience, I don't think he means just 6 months =)

I think your dad is giving you an honest answer. It seems like you're paying it out of your own pocket (since he didn't offer to pay the diff.)

However if he is paying the car for you, then I would think he is hinting at a 335i too.
