Questions regarding attack dogs
What is the best thing to do when they come charging at you in attack mode? Anyone in the official field that would know what to do?
just a though.

lol, afraid your friends are going to come at you with attack dogs? were seriously going to be seeing you on the news
theres not much your going to be able to do against a trained "attack dog" though, they are lighting fast with jaws of steel, your best chance would be to get a hold of its neck i guess, but chances are you wont get that chance running wont do any good either, maybe if you knew far enough in advance something to swing at it?

If the dog is on your arm alreay then use the other hand and grab a hold of his throat to cut off O2 and he will let go! Running wouldn't help since they would probably catch up to you. Hitting the nose or kicking it it a good idea but if you miss then you are SOL!

I remember seeing an old film thingy about this about 20 years ago...
If the dog has your hand in his mouth -- try pulling the tongue out! Poke/gouge the eyes Tear/pull the ears Punch the side of the face right under the eye socket to try and shatter that bone. That's what I remember. I think it may work.

I've actually had to fight off a dog before. Not a "trained attack dog", but a viscious, abused, PISSED OFF, German Shepherd, none the less.
He came running at me, and I almost pissed myself. The dog leapt for me, and instead of trying to block him with an arm which would have then become a chew tow, I duckeed down a little, managed to get my hand under his face before he caught a hold of my elbow with some very sharp teeth. Luckily, my hand under his face got a nice grip on is throat. I used my grip on his throat to throat-slam the dog. You know, lift him up, flip him over, and slam the biting bastard on the ground, spine/head first? That did the trick. I hit him down hard enough to crack his skull. he quickly let go. He didn't die there, but when he was taken to the vet, he was put to sleep anyway. I got 31 stitches. The only reason I was quick enough/knew what to do: I have a 125 lb black lab who LOVES to wrestle. |
