Just wondering if any of you guys have been in or is still serving. I myself get out in a couple months. 7.5 years of Active Duty service oh how the time flies when our having fun. Anyways if you can state your branch of service and how long that would be cool. I'm just curious.

I've been in the Marines for 3 years and 3 months. I have 1 year and 9 months left on active duty.

Air Force, coming up on 8 years as a 1N3. Now the question is do I stay and push to 20 or bail and get in on some of that money they're throwing around to you contractors?

^^ I did 9 years in the AF and jumped ship for money. I started as Radio Maintenance (2E1X3), then cross trained into Air Traffic Control (1C1X1).
My 9 years goes towards my retirement with the FAA, it was the best move by far. I never look back. If it works to your advantage, I say go for it. |

Thank you for your service all you guys
I have a cousin in the AF on his second tour of Afghanistan and another who is in Marine training. It's an unfortunate truth that as a private citizen, it doesn't really "hit you" until family members are involved. |
