OT, recommend this college kid a 5 day cruise
I'm looking for something that won't break the bank but won't be absolute shit. I'm in Tampa and there's a port here but I wouldn't mind doing some driving to another port in FL. I'm not 21 and won't be going with family but have that taken care of: http://floridaflasks.com/
Personal experiences? I've heard mixed reviews on everything but the consensus was that Carnival was shit in comparison to the rest. |

You guys in FL have so many more choices than us here in CA.
Here if you want to limit the excursion to less than a week, you only have the choices of going with a 3, 4 or 5 day cruises to BAJA, Mexico |

I've been on 2 carnival cruises out of the Gulf Coast (I live in Pensacola). The "Holiday" ship out of Mobile sucks balls. Under no circumstances are you to sink THAT low.
The second trip out of Tampa on a ship I forgot the name of (yeah, it was pretty wild. Spring Break + my bday) was a LOT better. I'm 21 now but when I went I just turned 18 and I had a blast. I'm staring at my "Sober > Horny in 4 drinks" hanging on my wall that I picked up in Belize on that cruise haha. |

oh shi! just saw those flasks lmao. Like I said I was 18 when I went on my second cruise and we bought liquor in the town, poured it in water bottles, then threw those in our back pack- no Q asked upon re boarding.
Then on another stop we bought two bottles and were gonna take them back to the US with us..well when we got back on the ship you have 2 options 1-go thru the check and have bottles stored below deck and get them back when debarking in US. This also includes paying a US import tax or some shi 2-wait until the customs dude tells you which line to get in, then just walk strait to the service stair well and off to the mini fridge in your room you go! (this option is illegal..). Don't worry, number two sounds better after a six pack ashore. |

I've had great inclusive resort stays at the Moon Palace and Sun Palace in Cancun, and also a 3 day stay in the Turks and Cacos islands. |

All inclusive = all inclusive. Booze, food, etc. All you pay are the random resort fees and usually for motorized water crafts. |

No liquor has ever been free at any resort I've ever stayed at.. Ever. You can pay an extra $200 bucks and get an armband from the resort that pays for unlimited drinks...but just for you. So by the time you and your friends add up $200 a pop..... just pay for the drinks individually.
Oh and massages aren't covered, either. Nor are the watercraft, as mentioned, or any activities around town. I visited a brewery in Belize, pretty cool!! |

Hey I stayed at the sandals in T&C as well! But it wasn't my villa, a subway exec flew me down for a 3 day stay at hers. I kept wondering why she was giving me drink after drink! I figured her bill would be outrageous and she wanted me in the sack; but in hindsight it would appear she duped me with free liquor and a 1st class plane ticket and all I got was a horrifying experience with a 40 something year old *almost MILF.
Damn it all. |

Not to mention if you give them some $$ they'll literally just give you the bottle and let you do whatever the fuck you want there. |

I've been on enough cruises. They're fun in all but I rather be at an all inclusive resort with free booze rather than smuggling shit on a cruise. But thats just me.
