Transferring data to new Xbox 360 Slim
So I have the old original Xbox 360s. Mine overheated and I'm thinking of buying the new 360 Slim. All my data is stored on my old detachable hard drive. I noticed the new Slim has a built in hard drive and the new 250 add on hd is completely different hardware.
How do I transfer my old data on my old hd into the new 360 slim? I don't have any music and heavy stuff on it, only game data. Are all my CoD data for instance actually saved on my hd or is it saved online? |

Can you copy data to a flash drive then copy back to the new one?

Does your 360 work at all to be able to transfer the data onto a USB flash drive? If not, you can use the 360 Data transfer cable: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Microsof...&skuId=1073227

mine does work, it just won't run with a game disc in it. It "overheats". It'll idle for an hour with no issues. I have about 4 gigs of data, a flash drive will work?
