djborya 80mm widebody e30 - 800+ RWHP S52 Turbo Build
Boris has worked his ass of getting this car totally redone since last year and now the beast is tearing up the tracks....and occasionally the streets :buttrock
Photos by myself and Mark (mscire2) at 75-80 dragway outside of Frederick. We got amazingly lucky with the weather as the sun was going down, 2 large storm sells flanked us but we stayed dry. The car is an absolute beast built primarily by Boris himself. Built s52 80mm Bullseye topmount ported head BavSol stg III cams Hogan Racing intake Best of 154.7mph and 9.53 in the 1/4. He's got more in it. Made 810rwhp on a notoriously stingy dyno. e92 M3's w full exhaust and tuning will make around 310-315rwhp for comparison. Enjoy Video at the bottom

And you would be lucky to hit over 300 on the particular dyno he ran on. You can't compare numbers like that.

very nice. I have a friend planning on doing a similar build on his s52 z3m coupe. He is going with a smaller turbo though and planning on 550-600 whp. Those engines are phenomenal in their ability to handle high boost.

here is a run from last year before a LOT of work went down over the winter. The car has a lot lot more in it now.
upgrades since last year when this video was taken: -Hogan Racing intake manifold, was on an OEM m50 manifold -New boost control, now at 40psi w the 80mm turbo -Nitrous - not being used currently -BavSol stageIII custom turbo cams (sounds like a cammed v8 when idling) -widebody to allow for proper drag racing rubber he has never used the chute but it is required for the speed he is running.
