Never used one before, but read a little bit about this unit:
http://www.filmtools.com/filmtools-3...ation-kit.html There's a guy here who video-d part of his euro delivery with this mount that was on the main page recently.

Thats a great one. Out of my price range for the amount of usage it will receive. I had no idea they cost that much. What are your thoughts on this? http://www.amazon.com/Delkin-Devices...pr_product_top

Hmm looks fine but I think you should probably try to find a way to attach a third suction mount to stabilize the camera. I've read about other much cheaper ways to get the necessary parts and build it yourself easily, but I can't remember the links I found. Can't find them in my bookmarks haha.

if you're going to build one your self look up Seesucker for the vacuum mounts. They hold a ton of weight and you can see if they are loosing suction.

whoa. go to film tools site, get a 6-inch suction cup with a basic head on it.
i have this one: http://www.filmtools.com/gripper-302...era-mount.html and another 6" cup with a different head on it. unless you're doing video and you have some flimsy head on it (the one in my link is pretty sturdy), you don't need to triangulate.

i've also used 6 of those same suction cups to hold a 30 lb red camera onto an old 60s thunderbird. they will indeed hold a lot of weight for a long time.

good call. Those are the same type of vacuum mounts that Seasucker provides. I have a friend that uses them for his bike rack.
