tips for a beginner with PP...? what software could I use and where to get it? Remember, newb here to PP, I just take a lot of pictures lol.

adobe lightroom or aperture or iphoto on mac.

iPhoto is meh... you can start with that, but I wouldn't build a giant photo library with it. Aperture or Lightroom does well. I know Dave likes DxO as well.

nothing more beginner proof than iphoto, but if you know what youre doing and what something better then yes lightroom and aperture.
