Debating between an android based or getting the Ipad2. Mainly will be used simply for work to replace having to drag my laptop everywhere I go.

Any comments/advice would be appreciated.

You already have a netbook and a MacBook..you workaholic. Go buy an arcade system. Like one of those initial D ones or something.

Well what are you expecting out of it? The iPad has a great email and calendar client, and obviously a full browser, but after that you need to think ahead if the software you will need to use has iOS or touch support. There are plenty of finance/accounting related apps, and I'm sure there are inventory management apps, but if you use a proprietary system, you'll want to see what they support. Another option is a MacBook Air which will give you a full OS, but a very small footprint. Still not a tablet, but it comes down to what you will require.

Basically something that I can use to work on my sites internal cart, reply to customer pms (have a 5 minute reply rule that I heavily enforce), have multiple tabs open at once to multi-task. Basically has to be like a laptop, but in tablet form. iPad seems a bit pricey. way I put it is that I'm basically looking for a commuter tab, where as the iPad2 would be like having a BMW as a commuter due to the price and I realistically just need a honda civic lol Hopefully that makes sense.

16gb wifi iPad 2 is only $500. You don't need space for the things you're describing, and if you're willing to add $20 to your iPhone plan, you can tether 3G to your iPad if you need it (assuming you have the $20 current plan).

Black Friday will bring huge deals on Android tablets at Best Buy. I got an email showing the sale prices on a lot of them, some will be around 50% off. The iPad will only get a measly $45 off the regular price. Something to consider.

Yeah personally leaning towards andriod simply because it feels like it may be better for a business tablet, where the ipad is more of a "fun" tablet. And realistically work and fun don't always belong in the same sentence lol

I like my HP Touchpad... got in for the firesale 99 dollar price... I rooted android on it as well, but the HP webOS is nice too... I agree with waiting for Black Friday and picking up a nice android based tablet, like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or something. Having used both Android and iOS, I won't be going back to Apple.
