Need help!
I'm changing my car to M-series, but still can't decide
Which one do you think is the best, in terms of looks and overall performance? M3 coupe (2008) M5 sedan (2007) M6 coupe (2007) Thanks in advance |

I too am in the same boat as you. Can't quite decide 100% which to pull the trigger on. But I'm leaning more towards E92 M3 simply because the newer M5/M6 will come out before the new M3, keeping the M3 looking "new" for a longer period of time.

but do you guys really prefer a v8? I mean the v10 sounds really good.. I haven't try the m6 though, so I don't know the feeling of it.. Is there any big difference in term of the power that you can feel? I mean I know it produces 100+ hp more than an m3, but more hp doesn't always means it feels faster |

I haven't try the m6, so I'm just wondering, does it feel faster than the m3 and worth the extra bucks? and the model is other thing, man.. I know it looks more high end, but I'm still in my twenties, and I don't want to drive a car that will makes me look old.. what do you think? |

dont have enough experience with either sorry. Just based on what i know the M6 would be the winner. If your planning on tracking the car alot, the M3 will be cheaper to maintain most likely, but the M6 is on a whole other level in terms of every day cars.

Ive test driven all 3 of your choices, not for long mind you but either way here is a quick summary of how I feel about the 3 options.
M3- absolutely legendary car, but to someone who doesnt know BMW's too well it looks very similar to the rest of the E92 family. M5- this car is extremely impressive to me in every way and its got an aggressive look but not over done, ..when you hear one drive up beside you, the sound lets you know shes got some real power. M6- I love the look of this vehicle and the sound is incredible, power is a given of coarse. in my opinion its a fairly big coupe with limited access to rear seats if you ever needed them. With the new 6 series on the way it may somewhat date the current M6 body style. there are many other points to put in there but thats a quick note for ya. If it were up to me I would actually choose the M3 too... just because Ive had dreams of owning one since I was like 14 and saw the E46 M3.. the E92 some how got even more exceptional.. |
