Hey guys I might be picking up a bronze 633 CSI 5 speed here pretty soon. Its a pretty clean car, front air dam rear spoiler bbs wheels clean beige leather interior. Guy is asking 2800 which I think is a pretty good deal for that car

Until ~1982, the E24 6 Series was based on the E12 5 Series platform. Then it switched to E28 5 Series platform. If I recall correctly, 633CSi was built from ca. 1976 to 1984, so you can find it as either E12-based or E28-based.

For about 10 years I owned an E28 535i, and based on my experience I think you will love the E24. However, as with any car model, there are specific technical issues you may want to consider.

mye28.com is a very knowledgeable community and they may give you the best advise regarding what to look for and which are the typical red flags concerning an E24 633CSi.

Yeah I have already been browsing bigcoupe and reading up on issues to look for. I will also keep in mine the difference in model years

you should take the car to a BMW dealer or a good independant shop,for an inspection the price seems to be right but thats an old car and can cost a fortune in repair.Good luck.

Well the guy wont answer the phone so I guess he doesnt wanna sell it too bad. I think I found a Z32 300zx I may buy instead.
