Good intro video camera??
Hey all,
I am developing a serious interest in learning video work. I am hoping to do an ED for a M5 later this year and I want to try and capture some video of the trip...I have access to a Fry's Electronics close by as well as a very serious camera store downtown....I suspect that both Canon and Sony makes some (both SD and HD) models so I would like some recommendations for some quality entry level cameras that will not break the bank... Also, what about software?? I am not trying to become the next Spielberg or Peter Jackson so something that is relatively easy to learn would be sweet... MANY thanks!!!!

iMovie doesn't work on PCs.
There is always Windows Movie Maker (which I think is crappy), or the really good Adobe Premiere Pro 6. You can get Adobe Premiere Elements too, but I don't have any experience with that. I don't know too much about camcorders, other than the old hi8 Sony I have. I'm sure either the Sony or Canon have really good ones out there.
