Today is the USCC Northeast Gran Prix at the venerable Lime Rock Park. They are also hosting the Porsche GT3 Cup. Did anyone make it? If so let's see some photos!


"Memorial Day Weekend: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, May 23 – 25

The “Conti Tire” Challenge – some of the best stock car road racing in the world – is two big classes, Grand Sport (GS) and Street Tuner (ST). Each has their own stand-alone race. In GS, you’ll see the big, loud and fast Camaros, Porsches, Mustangs, Aston Martins, BMWs and 370Zs banging fenders. The ST race has the quick and agile Hondas, VWs, BMW 128/328, Mazda 3/MX-5 and Porsche Boxsters. The U.S. version of the extremely popular Euro Porsche GT3 Cup series makes just its second-ever visit to Lime Rock, while the uniquely exciting VSCCA race adds a little history to the weekend. Capping the weekend is the Sunday Royals Car Show, which draws 200-400 prime vehicles of every kind – from rare sports cars and contemporary supercars to hundreds of muscle cars from the 60s and 70s – and benefits local charities."

Was there a lambo class and miata cup also? Did they split up the gtlm and gtd into separate races like laguna?

I don't believe there was a lambo class here bit they did indeed split gtlm and gtd in to separate classes. They did have the Porsche Cup and an electric vehicle race

If your thinking of the Super Trofeo, that is running but they're at Silverstone this weekend. The next time we'll see them in the US is at Watkins Glen

I might have misinterpreted your question. I think at Lime Rock they ran together while being different classes. Some times they will be split in almost a double-header format. Why? With a field 56 entries deep, not every pit lane can accommodate that size. They'll normally all run together except where pit/track logistics inhibit it.

That makes sense laguna had a small pit lane area. Ran the double header.
