I love it. I did not like the electronic interface at first but after a few weeks I now understand its logic and it's not too bad. Still not as quick as the iDrive interface. But the power and sounds is more than make up for it. I'm still 800 miles short of the official break in period so I'll need to drive it a lot more.

Just got them swapped out with the Gyrodyne wheels from an R-coupe. Here's the before and after.

I'm addicted to driving it. The torque is amazing. Driving 65mph on the freeway, spotted a spot in traffic a few hundred yards a head, pressed the pedal and I'm instantly there. Of course the sounds and feel of a convertible is nice too.

I've been eying one for a while now. Waiting for a used r coupe to start showing up in the 70K range and i'll make my move.
Have you driven the new stingray, if so how did it compare?

I did not drive the stingray. I crossed shopped it with two 911s (one vert and one cab) and chose the Jaguar. The 911s felt like a nicer and more expensive version of my e92m3. The Jaguar felt more raw and unique. I have no doubt that the 911 is a better built car and will run better track times, but my heart settled with the Jaguar.

Love your car a lot. I personally prefer the Coupe, but this is one car I still have my eye on.
I miss my old Jag, it wasn't the fastest car, but there was something that I always liked about it; like you, my heart fell for it as soon as I have seen it. Enjoy it in good health, it is a great machine! PS Why are the door handles sticking out? |
