yeah there's the made of stars thing. that's because every element is produced in stars. but DNA is a complex assembly...

...Assuming I read this correctly, this is actual DNA? I'm no chemist/biologist but doesn't this mean there's other very similiar life forms running around?

No. Not necessarily. This his been the theory for a long time. They've been isolating amino acids from space rocks and them combining them with heat, electricity, fire, etc. in test tubes for a long time trying to construct primitive RNA and whatnot.

If the meteorite did conatain DNA, in all likelihood, YES THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IT WOULD MEAN. What they found was not necessarily DNA, just the "building blocks". What they did find was some stuff that doens't usually occur on earth, suggesting that they were created somewhere other than earth. That is essentially the point of the article.
