M6 cabrio vs 335
On my way to the store today when I saw a sleek black car coming up on my tail. It was a convertible and I could make out the distinct BMW grill. So I picked it up a little and the car stays on my tail. There was a little traffic so we kept it reasonable. When I’d come up on a car I’d switch lanes and punch it around, he’d follow. I went for a quick move around a car and got stuck behind another one so I let him pass on the left. Turns out it was a new M6. Black and drop dead gorgeous. Driver gives me a quick nod. I quickly fall in place behind him and the road clears up. He nails it, so I oblige. Were about 50 feet apart from the start. I’m WOT and keeping the 50 gap, no change. He keeps looking in his rearview with kind of a WTF? Look. Now I’m not sure if he’s on it WOT or not, but we quickly hit 120. Up ahead a clunker of a motor home pulls in front of another car so we both slam on the brakes. For a car that size it stops on a dime, were both on our breaks really hard. 120 to 40. At no time did we slip slide or otherwise lose control. My car felt so in control where I know other cars would have lost it. We both approach this cluster fuck doing 40, cool as cucumbers. My exit comes up so I switch to the exit lane. Dude gives me the subtle nod of distinction and we part ways.
Lesson for today; M6, not to be f#cked with, and neither is the 335. Man, I so love this car. |

A 335 with PROcede will give an M6 a run for it's money from a dig, especially if it's the vert, but it doesn't stand a chance on the highway.
